Ward Reports September 08, 2023

Ald. Andre Vasquez (40) posted "7 migrants were arrested by CPD at Pritzker Park for cutting hair without a license. This is what happens when work authorization isn’t expedited during this crisis. We need the State and Federal Government to do more, or this will get worse."

Ald. Debra Silverstein (50) posted "My traffic crash review ordinance passed committee yesterday. This legislation would give us the tools we need to identify dangerous locations and eliminate crash hotspots. It will create a data-driven approach to making our streets safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Special thank you to W. Robert Schultz III of @activetrans for your testimony and advocacy! Thank you as well to @AldermanLaSpata and all the members of the Committee on Pedestrian and Traffic Safety for your support."

Ald. Julia Ramirez (12) posted "On Tuesday, September 19 at 5:30 pm, author-illustrator team Fiona Cook and Jessica Roux will guide participants through a free Autumn Equinox-inspired scavenger hunt based on their forthcoming book THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR. This multi-sensory activity is designed to arouse curiosity, hone observational skills, and encourage a connection to nature within an urban environment. Meet at the stone urns south of the lagoon."
