The Special Committee's jurisdiction is to oversee all matters related to creation of Chicago's first casino (zoning, contracting, permitting, etc.). A Chicago casino is estimated to bring hundreds of millions of dollars annually into City coffers to fund pension liabilities, Chicago Public Schools, and other programs.”
