Ward Reports January 25, 2023
Ald. Pat Dowell (3) in her latest newsletter shared links to CPS' Jan. 19 virtual community meeting on the proposed Near South High School, an engagement website and a post-session survey. "Before any construction can move forward, significant community engagement and numerous City Council actions will need to take place," Dowell wrote. "This ensures residents voices will be heard throughout the process. To that end, please fill out the survey, and as additional information and meetings on this issue are made public, Alderman Dowell's office will inform the community immediately."
Ald. Sophia King (4) tweeted "You’re invite to a Community Conversation this Thursday about the future of our city. Together we can create a safe and strong Chicago, that works for all of us! Sign up here: https://www.mobilize.us/friendsofsophiaking/event/548123/"
Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa (35) tweeted "Thank you, LGBTQ @VictoryFund, for endorsing my re-election campaign for Chicago City Council! They're supporting my re-election because they know I have been and will continue to be a strong voice for equality. Vote Tuesday, February 28!"
Ald. Harry Osterman (48) tweeted "Chicago is under a winter weather advisory tomorrow from 3am-9pm. If you are a property owner, remember to clear the sidewalks on your property as soon as possible after it stops snowing."
