Ald. Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth (48) wrote in her ward newsletter: "On Monday, we took another important step towards budget transparency and accountability by introducing the Management Ordinance. This ordinance makes various changes to the City’s budget process, reporting, and functions of the Council Office of Financial Analysis (COFA). As a proud co-sponsor, this ordinance will allow for more informed budget decisions in years to come."

Ald. Nicole Lee (11) posted "Today, 28 alders sent this letter to @ChicagosMayor to lay out our priorities and concerns as we enter what we hope will be the final stretch of this budget process. We need the Mayor’s partnership and transparency if we’re going to land this plane on time!"

Ald. Timmy Knudsen (43) posted "This will not be the last 'difficult budget'. In fact, the next few will be harder ... As frustration has increased related to the budget process and proposed terms, I experienced a new style of collaboration between many Council colleagues emerge (separate from caucus or ideology). This internal collaboration is a positive that we will hold onto while working towards necessary reforms over the next few years."
