Ward Reports August 10, 2023
Ald. Raymond Lopez (15) tweeted "Thank you Firefighters Local 2 for my official helmet!"
Ald. Matt O'Shea (19) tweeted "This Thursday, the 19th Ward Youth & Community Foundation will host “Music on the Green” at Mt Greenwood Park, featuring Coyote Riot. There will be a fireworks show after the concert."
Ald. Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez (33) tweeted "The workers at @Grindr are trying to unionize and they need our support. Grindr is breaking the law with their new return to office and disciplinary policy. CWA filed a charge with the NLRB, but Grindr needs to rescind that policy until after the union election so the union can go to the table and bargain in good faith about this and any other unilateral changes. Grindr must respect workers rights to organize. This is a clear violation of their protected rights to improve the conditions at work."
Ald. Gilbert Villegas (36) shared a Crain's article about Lincoln Yards and tweeted "Time kills deals!!!! The previous administration didn’t get this, I hope the new administration signals that we are open for business. We need revenue and this project would create millions in new revenue. #letsbuildthisalready"
