    Senate gets budget moved to House largely keeping governor’s proposal intact

    The Senate advanced the state budget Thursday a day after the two Democratic caucuses and Gov. JB Pritzker reached a deal on Fiscal Year 2024 spending, but vetting of the proposal by House Democrats kept it from passing as planned Wednesday.
