Sen. Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) has been reappointed as the Majority Caucus chair of the Illinois Senate Democratic Caucus. She was first named to the position in January 2018.

Ald. Daniel La Spata (1) is hosting a 1st Ward climate change meeting over Zoom at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27 “to discuss how the City is laying groundwork for the development of a building decarbonization policy,” according to a tweet. Representatives from Elevate Energy, the Natural Resource Defense Council and the city’s chief sustainability officer will also be on hand for discussion. Those interested can register for the meeting or email questions to [email protected].
