    Mayor-elect Johnson selects Fred Waller as his interim CPD superintendent

    Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson has selected Fred Waller, a former member of Chicago Police Department leadership, to serve as interim superintendent of the Chicago Police Department beginning May 15 until a civilian-led committee makes their own recommendation on who should lead the police department.
