The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability (CGFA) will hold a hearing on Friday to issue a recommendation about the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) plan to close Stateville prison in Crest Hill later this month and shutter the Logan women’s prison in the coming years after Stateville is rebuilt.
