The education committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

In a rare scheduling move, the City Council Committee on Education and Child Development is set to meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers to discuss issues within Chicago Public Schools. 

Committee meetings are routinely held on weekday mornings or afternoons, but education committee chair Ald. Jeanette Taylor (20) said she wanted to hold the meeting “when working people could get off work” and to “accommodate students who want to be part of the conversation.”
