    Illinois should take steps to lower its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) error rate, maximize the use of work requirement waivers and expand employment and training programs.  

    Those are suggestions from a Civic Federation report examining changes to SNAP under the federal “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act that’s projected to add more than $700 million in costs to the state budget.
