    The City Council Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards on Tuesday approved plans for a multi-phase, mixed-use development just a short distance from the recently opened Obama Presidential Center and a landmark designation for the former home of a Chicago newspaper.

    The approved items will be considered at Wednesday’s City Council meeting, which begins at 10 a.m.
