    Just a day after the City Council’s housing committee narrowly advanced Mayor Brandon Johnson’s major overhaul of the Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO), a rival ordinance was approved by the Committee on Zoning, Landmarks and Building Standards Thursday. 

    With both ordinances now before the full City Council, both sides of the competing pieces of legislation say they are open to negotiations before a final vote.
