Workforce committee abruptly adjourns hearing on video gambling repeal proposal

A subject matter hearing on a proposal to repeal the city’s legalization of video poker, slots, blackjack and similar machines was abruptly adjourned Wednesday just as aldermanic questions were getting underway.
