The City Council Committee on Workforce Development on Monday approved a resolution to support the Paul Simon Job Corps Center and to urge continued funding for the federal program. The technical school is facing a possible closure as part of a broader shutdown of the program, which is over 60 years old and operates across the country, by the Trump administration.
