Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly (D-Ill.) and representatives from the Village of Dixmoor, U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth’s office and the Army Corps of Engineers announced Monday the completion of the Dixmoor Watermain Infrastructure Improvement Project, which was aimed at addressing a breakdown in the water distribution system there following main breaks that began in 2021. The project cost over $3 million.
