The city announced a series of community engagement sessions will take place through early 2025 on policing reform efforts, expansion of non-police crisis response teams and efforts to meet consent decree obligations. The effort is an initiative of the Mayor’s Office of Community Safety, Chicago Police Department and community organizations such as Bright Star Community Outreach, Target Area Development Corp, The Resurrection Project, YWCA Metro Chicago and others.
