Friends of the Parks announced Friday that it was extending its search for a new executive director. The organization is seeking candidates with parks and environmental advocacy, civic affairs, urban planning, policy or public administration experience, according to the job posting, as well as  required demonstration of fundraising ability. The organization’s previous executive director, Juanita Irizarry, left the position about a year ago.
