The city's Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and Mayor Brandon Johnson are encouraging Chicagoans to shop and dine at local small businesses on Nov. 25 as a way to help boost local economic impact, according to a news release. “Supporting local businesses during the holiday season and throughout the year is an opportunity to give back to our communities,” Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection Comm. Ken Meyer said in the news release. “The purchases made at our small businesses generate economic growth for our whole city. I encourage all Chicagoans to shop local to invest in our workforce and small business community.”
