Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle on Wednesday celebrated the launch of Cook County Tourism Alive, a $10 million ARPA-funded initiative that aims to help the suburban part of the county's hospitality and tourism industries recover and thrive in the post-pandemic economy, according to a county news release. The initiative includes a partnership with five suburban convention and visitor bureaus and includes a tourism campaign called "Outside Chicago."
