The city Department of Planning and Development will host an open house next week on the first phase of the Central Area Plan Update. Attendees "can provide input on housing, transportation, public safety, economic development and community engagement to help shape" the forthcoming plan, according to a department news release. The open house will be held on Tuesday, May 23 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Harold Washington Library Winter Garden on the ninth floor, 401 S. Plymouth Court.
