Chicago Announcements May 16, 2024

United Way of Metro Chicago and Cook County announced Wednesday it would expand its Neighborhood Network Initiative into Summit, which will mark United Way’s 18th Neighborhood Network. The investment, part of the $15 million Transforming Places program recommended by the county's Equity Fund Task Force, will deliver infrastructure and other critical resources to underserved areas within the network.

The Chicago Office of the Inspector General announced the launch of a new data dashboard Wednesday called City Services by Address, "a one-stop shop to see City services and service area designations as they apply to any Chicago address," according to the office. Users that input an address will see that address' ward, community area, zoning and schedules for city services, among other datapoints.
