The Chicago Department of Public Health announced a new suicide prevention initiative to provide free trainings to residents and city employees. According to the city, the trainings will "build skills in recognizing warning signs of suicide risk and connecting someone at risk of suicide to the help they need." You can go to https://chicago.gov/suicideprevention for more information and to register for a training, which last an hour and a half and will be held in person on seven occasions beginning May 16 and lasting through the end of September.
