CTA officials on Friday announced that beginning last weekend, the agency's weekday "short-turned" trips that currently operate on the Blue Line between the O'Hare station and the UIC-Halsted station, the busiest portion of the train line, will be expanded from their current operation only during morning and evening rush hours to run throughout the day on a daily basis. The scheduling adjustment is expected to add capacity and improve reliability along the Blue Line, according to a CTA news release.
