The CTA reported Thursday that monthly progress shows bus and train service reliability improved for the month of February as transit riders had fewer long waits, according to the agency's interactive scorecard on its “Meeting the Moment” action plan. Improvements included a decrease in train wait times that are triple the scheduled times from an average of 29 instances each weekday to 13 instances each weekday in February and a decrease in train wait times that are double the scheduled times from an average 158 instances each weekday to 92 instances each weekday in February. Additionally, long gaps in bus service — instances where wait times were double or triple the scheduled wait times — dropped from 12.3 percent in December to 6.5 percent in February, according to CTA.
