Mayor Brandon Johnson announced Monday the appointment of Carla Kupe as chief equity officer. Kupe, an attorney and former director of diversity, equity, inclusion and compliance at the Chicago Office of the Inspector General, will oversee the Mayor's Office of Equity and Racial Justice in that role.
