Chicago Announcements June 10, 2024

Mayor Brandon Johnson's office announced Friday the city's upcoming minimum wage increases and changes, which will become effective July 1. On that date, the new Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance goes into effect as well as the first phased increase of the tipped minimum wage as it moves toward parity with the minimum wage by 2028.
