Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle's office announced the fifth Annual Racial Equity Week will take place Sept. 11-15 throughout the county. This year’s theme is "Interwoven Narratives, Collective Impact: Celebrating 5 years of Racial Equity Week.” The county will offer both in-person and virtual events during the weeklong celebration. Some events include a table dedicated to racial equity at the Cook County Preparedness Fair in Daley Plaza on Sept. 13, the “Pour One Out!” Live Storytelling Series with Ada Cheng, also on Sept. 13 at Volumes Bookcafe, and a "Queerness of Nature Walk" hosted Sept. 15 by the Forest Preserves of Cook County at Sand Ridge Nature Center.
