Ald. Michael Rodriguez (22) and other alderpersons and advocates will hold a news conference at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at City Hall to announce a proposed ordinance to expand paid leave in Chicago, according to a news release from the Chicago Federation of Labor. The proposal would allow workers to earn one hour of paid leave for every 15 hours they work and would allow works to use paid time off for any reason.
