Chicago Announcements January 24, 2024

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced the launch of the Nonprofit Relief Grant Program Tuesday, a $1.5 million program aimed at helping arts and culture organizations build resiliency in the post-pandemic economy. Nonprofit organizations that apply could be awarded grants worth $5,000 or $10,000 to mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, effects that continue to persist as the industry was among the hardest hit. Grants will also be able to support suburban museums, theaters and arts festivals.
