The Housing Authority of Cook County and the Justice Advisory Council on Thursday announced a new reentry initiative that is set to offer rental assistance and services to residents returning to their communities after incarceration. The program is funded with federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars and will make available $8 million dollars for organizations to offer wraparound services to residents returning to communities after incarceration.
