Mayor Brandon Johnson on Friday announced that the city had hit its goal of transitioning 100 percent of city facilities and operations to renewable energy through a combination of an agreement with retail electricity supplier Constellation to receive power from a new downstate solar power facility and through the purchase of renewable energy credits.
