Chicago Police Department Supt. David Brown announced the appointment of Angel Novalez as the department’s new Chief of Constitutional Policing and Reform. Novalez was previously the Deputy Chief of Community Policing. Brown separately appointed Christopher Papaioannou, previously the commander for the department’s Town Hall District, as a new Deputy Chief overseeing street operations.
