By the end of the day Thursday, 28,283 Chicagoans had cast their ballot early and in-person ahead of the Feb. 28 election, up from 18,789 in-person ballots that had been cast as of this time in the 2019 municipal election. Additionally as of Thursday, the Chicago Board of Elections had received 57,523 Vote By Mail ballots, up from the 7,409 mail-in ballots returned as of this time in 2019.
