After being closed for more than one year, the Webster Avenue bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River is set to reopen Wednesday. Officials from the Chicago Department of Transportation, Ald. Brian Hopkins (2) and Ald. Scott Waguespack (32) are scheduled to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. to officially reopen the bridge that has undergone work on its bridge deck with additional work on signal timing, lighting, historical elements, crosswalks and pavement markings.
