The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) on Tuesday announced the city's second annual "You Name A Snowplow" contest, where residents are encouraged to create and submit "innovative snowplow names" for the city's fleet. Residents can submit their best names to www.chicagoshovels.org. The entry period will close by Jan. 12. DSS will pick the top six names, which will each be given to one snowplow in each of the city's six snow districts and join the already-named snowplow fleet announced last winter.
