The city of Chicago will soon accept bids for contractors for a project managing and operating the public parking and ground transportation facilities at Chicago Midway International Airport. The city will hold a pre-solicitation conference on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Midway Airport Maintenance Complex, Conference Room 211, 6201 S. Laramie Avenue in Chicago. Bidding is slated to open on Jan. 24, and the bid is being underaken as an eProcurement. Contractors will be expected to "comply with all applicable statutes, laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, required licenses, and permits to operate the public parking and ground transportation facilities on a 24-hour, 7 days-a-week, 365 days per year (full-time) basis with sufficient key personnel and resources to assure an effective, efficient, courteous, secure, cost effective, and convenient operation," according to a RFP notice.
