Cook County Comm. Josina Morita (D-13) will lead a summit on language accessibility in Cook County at 10 a.m. Dec. 4. at Oakton College's Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave. in Skokie. County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Deputy Gov. for Health and Human Services Grace Hou and other elected, nonprofit, education and governmental agency and department leaders are expected to be present. "With over 100 languages spoken across the 13th District and Cook County, language access is essential to ensuring accessible, equitable and responsive government for all," said event organizers.
