The CTA Green Line station opened to passengers on Monday morning at the intersection of Lake Street and Damen Avenue. The new station closes a 1.5 mile gap in service along the Green Line between the Ashland and California stops and will be able to accommodate passengers traveling to and from the United Center. The original Damen Green Line station close in 1948.
