- The deadline for 15th Ward homeowners to apply for property tax exemptions is Monday, April 29, 2024. Exemptions are property tax savings that contribute to lowering property owners’ tax bills.
- Mayor Brandon Johnson launched the sixth cohort of the Mayor's Youth Commission. Youth commissioners will serve as liaisons between the Mayor's Office and Chicago's youth. Each commissioner will be paid a stipend and provided free CTA passes and refreshments for their work.
- Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, and Ada S. McKinley Community Services announced the Diverse Learners Recovery Fund for students with disabilities. Up to 8,000 students with disabilities will receive one-time cash grants to support families affected by Covid.
