Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund on Tuesday announced Chicago's selection for participation in the CityStart initiative with a focus on improving racial wealth equity. The initiative "works closely with local leaders to develop and implement proven strategies aimed at helping families and communities become more financially stable," according to a city news release.
