Mayor Lori Lightfoot, city officials and DL3 Realty appeared at a groundbreaking Tuesday for Thrive Englewood, a $40.2 million INVEST South/West project which will create a mixed-use, transit-oriented development located at 914 West 63rd St. in Englewood, the mayor's office announced Tuesday. "Projects like Thrive Englewood are a hallmark of my administration's INVEST South/West initiative and its mission to create economic opportunities in our neighborhoods," Lightfoot said in a news release. The project is minority-led and includes $13.5 million in multi-family loan funds, $5 million in Tax Increment Financing dollars, $1.5 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and $240,000 in donation tax credits, the mayor's office said.
