    Budget cuts would reverse gains made from new education funding formula, advocate warns

    Education advocates encouraged lawmakers Wednesday to stay the course with the state’s evidence-based funding formula.


    The gains made from Illinois’ new evidence-based education funding formula would take a significant step back if a proposal to implement budget cuts were to move forward, a Senate panel was told Wednesday.
