    Eddie Johnson became superintendent in March 2016 after a video revealed that officers did not tell the truth about the death of Laquan McDonald during a traffic stop, setting off waves of protests.

    Nearly three years later, another video led to his termination.

    A furious Mayor Lori Lightfoot fired Johnson Monday, saying an investigation by Inspector General Joseph Ferguson found that top cop lied to her — and the public — about what happened before — and after — he was discovered asleep in his running car just after midnight Oct. 17.
