A group of aldermen on Tuesday nearly thwarted a cannabis company’s proposal to upgrade its Wrigleyville dispensary, blasting a warning shot against white weed purveyors who do not bring on diverse partners and further chipping away at the unwritten rule of aldermanic prerogative.
