United Airlines will become the first airline to use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at O’Hare International Airport and take advantage of tax credits offered by the state of Illinois for reducing carbon emissions in its use of jet fuel.

Gov. JB Pritzker signed the Illinois AFL-CIO’s top legislative priority into law on Wednesday to ban “captive audience” meetings where employees are required to sit through work meetings that discuss the politics and religion of their employer.

Gov. JB Pritzker signed the latest bill in a series of health insurance reforms to pass the General Assembly this spring, which mandates more insurance coverage of pregnancy services, including abortion, aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for Black women.
