Ald. Brian Hopkins (2) in his latest newsletter wrote that due to concerns from CTA, a delay in emergency vehicle response times and the need for residential use, “the section of Division Street between State Parkway and Dearborn Street will be restored to full street access. Ald. Raymond Lopez (15) tweeted “Yes, the rifles are making a comeback. Three years ago we had a Mayor & Police dept that shared my views on going after gang bangers & locking them up. Now many of whom we locked up were covid early-released to keep THEM safe! They settle old scores endangering our city!”

Ald. Michael Scott (24) retweeted a tweet from the Chicago Police Department advertising an entrance exam.

Ald. Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez (33) tweeted “It’s amazing how much fight needs to take place to get the basics in place for safe schools in our city. Solidarity and love to all my fellow CPS parents, teachers and staff trying to make it work.”

Ald. Debra Silverstein (50) tweeted “Congratulations to the Chicago Sky on winning its first WNBA championship! Celebrate the victory tomorrow (Oct 19) with a parade at 11 AM then rally at noon in Millennium Park. First come, first served. Masks are strongly encouraged.”
