Ward Reports October 02, 2023

Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa (35) posted "The City of Chicago is looking at all possible options and working hard to integrate and protect migrants. Chicagoans have volunteered their time and donated from their own pockets. It's time for the Pritzker administration to open and operate shelters just like New York State."

Ald. Maria Hadden (49) posted "Yesterday, a key City Council committee met for 5 hours to discuss Chicago's latest efforts to house thousands of asylum seekers. The meeting occurred amid 9 buses carrying migrants, adding to 6 migrant buses arriving Thursday and the dozens this week."

Ald. Raymond Lopez (15) posted "Let’s do this Lawndale! Great seeing @aldermanscott24 @Chicago_Police and my brother Pastor Jay out raising our hearts (and heart rates) in the community!"

Ald. Felix Cardona, Jr. (31) said on Facebook "Today my office partnered with Northwestern Medicine, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois State Police, and the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State, to provide a child car seat safety event during Illinois Child Passenger Safety Week. We inspected many child safety seats and helped parents learn exactly how to install and secure their child and their car seats. Thank you to all who were present."

Ald. Lamont Robinson (4) said on Facebook "The Chicago Police Department currently has about 1500 vacancies. Today, my office partnered up with @joincpd and hosted a career and family fair to help get the word out about career opportunities in the Chicago Police Department to help decrease that gap. Thank you to all the vendors and residents who came out. It was such a great event. Thank you to the great team at @joincpd who worked so hard on this with our team! #chicago #cpd #chicagopolicedepartment #joincpd"
