Ward Reports June 10, 2022

Ald. Daniel La Spata (1) tweeted “My heart is absolutely broken for the three year old killed when a semi-truck hit her mother’s bike today on Leland. Profoundly disappointed in CPD’s latest ‘blame the cyclist’ narrative. In three years I haven’t seen a rider NOT be responsible for their own death.”

Ald. Sophia King (4) shared a Hyde Park Herald article and tweeted “Proud to lift up this legend - Muddy Waters - he did so much for the Blues and Rock n Roll!”

Ald. Raymond Lopez (15) tweeted “Not-for-profit organizations that ask for public funds should be required to pay prevailing wages to their respective employees.”

Ald. Michael Rodriguez (22) tweeted “Thanks to @ChuyForCongress for recognizing the great Manuelita García. She was the matriarch of the Little Village Lawndale high school hunger strike in 2001 and will be greatly missed.”

Ald. Harry Osterman (48) tweeted “Join us next Wednesday, June 15th at the final Broadway Visioning meeting at 6pm at the Broadway Armory (5917 N Broadway), where we will share results from the previous Visioning meetings and what that means for Broadway.”

Ald. Maria Hadden (49) tweeted “Our first Rogers Park Juneteenth block party is this Saturday, June 10, from 2-5pm on Paulina north of Howard, and hosted by yours truly along with

@RepKellyCassidy”
