Ald. Ronnie Mosley (21) tweeted "Working to strengthen the community at Chicago’s City Council Meeting. #thriving21 #chicagocitycouncil #chicago #21stward"
Ald. Desmon Yancy (5) said on Facebook "As I reflect on today's council meeting. I go back to last week. It was my first council meeting. Celebratory, symbolic, and not filled with the vitriol that we witnessed today. As a black man I know first hand the divestment we have endured on the south and west side of the city. But to quote my colleague, "hurt people don't hurt people". It's incumbent upon us to help those in need. It's equally as important to hold this administration responsible for uplifting the African-American community. I truly believe we can do both."
Comm. Sean Morrison (R-17) tweeted "Arrest, charge, detain, prosecute, incarcerate. Repeat! End the failed ideological democrat criminal justice reform policies crafted & imposed by democrat leadership. Anything less is just more political pandering (“BS”) virtue-fluff and not a serious approach to Solving the violent carnage occurring in Cook County. The general public knows it."
Ald. Debra Silverstein (50) tweeted "City Council approved a plan today to make outdoor dining permanent in Chicago. This program was a lifeline for restaurants during the pandemic and is a wonderful way to support local businesses."
Ald. Ruth Cruz (30) said on Facebook "We had a wonderful time at the Marvin Camras Children's Engineering School end of school party!"
